It's Been a Minute!

Hey girlies! Guess what, it’s Carly here! Kristina has been sick for about a week and half (booooo) but that’s why I’m here to fill you guys in on-

Woah woah woah, this blog is my territory! I was sick, but I’m not dead or anything so allow me, Kristina, to fill you guys in on what’s been going on while Carly sees herself out of this section of the site 😆

I came back really wanting to get my hands on some clay and so while I was sick I was also researching new ways to make things from some library books I borrowed. Nothing gets done without a little effort, practice, and desire to learn more so I also got Carly to set me up with some take home projects and materials this week that I typically would not have had the confidence for in all my years of knowing her. We had a day of just creative work rather than strictly business because play is the best form of learning and it keeps you from burning out! I started making myself a kind of handle-less tea cup from everything that Carly had taught me so far and to my surprise everything went much more smoothly than the very first time I touched clay. I know, I know it sounds very basic that practice gives you confidence and makes you naturally better, but sometimes you don’t feel confident until much much later and have the results of it in front of you. (Carly here once again to chime in, SHE'S DOING AMAZING WE'RE SO PROUD OF HER) My personal goal for when I’m practicing at home is to create a tea strainer/infuser and maybe even try a tea pot to go with everything.

Meanwhile our socials have been popping off because of Carly’s incredible creativity and everyone’s overall silliness. I can be a little more shy with that sort of thing but it’s all in good fun and has definitely paid off so I’m sure the more I do it the easier it’ll get. Thank you guys for all the support, likes, comments, laughs, shares, and purchases that have been made at our shop so far! Everything helps and keeps us smiling while we continue our pottery journey!
