Social Butterflies

Hey girlies, Kristina here! This week has been socials week with a handful of pottery making. We got an email from Mosaic Aisles saying that there would be a social media team present to promote the different businesses so we were over there on Tuesday. Unfortunately we didn’t get the chance to use them, BUT Carly our amazing colorblind visionary already had great social posts at the ready so we ended up filming those instead. If you guys ever catch us on a Tuesday or Thursday there’s a high likelihood you’ll see us in all our silly, weird splendor spinning down a hallway or rolling around on a skateboard. Already one of the vendors joked about having to check us out while we’re filming shenanigans and another vendor mistook us for the social media team so I guess we’re doing something right! We are also close to 100 followers on TikTok so we are ecstatic! We’ve also made a few vendor buddies.

Our neighbors are really nice and gifted Carly a sample of super cute earrings which she wore on our most recent visit while we took new photos of our creations. So if you come by Mosaic Aisles, please stop by our friends at Wood Stork Designs (booth D-22) and show them some love too! When we went to put new tags on them we met up with another vendor who sells and trades videogames and it was really funny because on our way out he ended up by our car since it looked exactly like his, and then he was heading to the McDonald's that we were also going to so we were accidentally following each other which made us awkwardly wait in our car until we were sure wouldn’t meet up AGAIN.

We also received some advice from another vendor about adding some extra signage which we were already thinking of to make it more visible that we do handmade ceramics since the friendship bracelet sign could be misleading at first glance.

Overall everyone has been very nice and silly at Mosaic Aisles so it’s really relaxed when we are working on things. We left, got drinks to refuel us, did some inventory planning for future markets, and then got some clay in while Florida had a tantrum and rained like crazy. Despite the bad weather though, we made quite a bit of stuff both for testing and inventory. I got to make my first planter, so it was definitely a very productive day for all of us!
